A1: Only Home Accent Holiday trees sold in 2019 by The Home Depot with the following model numbers and SKU numbers are subject to the Recall:

A2: The tree model number and SKU number are printed on a black and white tag that is attached to the power cord of the tree.

This is a reference of where the tag can be found on the tree, no matter what the color of foot pedal is.

A3: If your SKU number is not one of the 8 SKU numbers identified in the recall, then it is NOT subject to the Recall, even if your tree model number matches one of the 5 model numbers identified in the Recall. In other words, you must have a tree model number and SKU number identified in the Recall for the Recall to apply to your tree.
A4: No. Only trees manufactured and sold in 2019 are subject to the Recall.
A5: No. Only trees manufactured and sold in 2019 are subject to the recall.
A6: You should immediately stop using the original foot-pedal controller that came with the tree, and dispose of it according to local regulations.
A7: If your 2019 tree with foot-pedal controller is one of the trees subject to the recall, as determined by model number and SKU number, then you should immediately stop using the foot-pedal controller and obtain a new replacement foot-pedal controller, even if the original foot-pedal controller is not getting hot.
A8: No. Willis will provide a new replacement foot-pedal controller at no charge to you, and will pay for shipping.
A9: No. The power adapter does not need to be replaced, and should be used with the new replacement foot-pedal controller.

A11: The foot pedal controllers were manufactured in both green and white, depending on the model number and SKU number. You should check the model number and the SKU number to determine whether the tree and controller are subject to the Recall. Call Willis at 1-866-210-5958 if you need assistance identifying your tree model and SKU number.
A12: No. You should contact Willis Customer Service at 1-866-210-5958 to obtain a new replacement foot-pedal controller at no cost.

A14: Only the foot-pedal controller needs to be replaced due to the Recall. The original tree and its lights may continue to safely be used with the new replacement foot-pedal controller.
A15: Yes. The original foot-pedal controller may overheat and should not be used, but the tree and its lights do not require replacement under the Recall.
A16: Yes. The new foot-pedal controller will have the same functions and features as the original controller.
A17: Yes. Detailed instructions for connecting your new replacement foot-pedal controller to your tree will be provided with the new controller.
A18: No. The original handheld remote control device will only work with the new replacement foot-pedal controller. You should discard the original handheld remote control device.
